The adoption of any motion to adjourn closes the meeting immediately unless the motion specifies a later time for adjourning. RONR p. 233, ll. 9-15.
The motion to adjourn must be seconded. it is not debatable, It is not amendable, and it requires a majority vote. RONR (11th ed.). p. 236. ll 5 - 9
